Literature
The essence of Zen is transmitted from heart to heart, without words. Nevertheless Zen can count on a rich amount of literature. On this site we will discuss a changing selection of Zen books.

Some are 'classics' like Zen Mind, Beginners Mind from Shunryu Suzuki or Zentraining from Katsuki Sekida. Others are more recent publications such as Everyday Zen, love & work by Joko Beck. Intructions to the cook is a very practical guide to 'living a life that matters' from the contemporary Zen master Bernard Glassman.

Every three months a teacher of IZIAE will discuss a book that was most inspiring for her/him. We start with the favorite book of the American Zen teacher and artist Tozan.
