An all-embracing life
Jokai Koenig (1938) is a body and breathing therapist. She lives at the Moelmeshof in Marksuhl, Germany. Together with the residents, the
changing guests, and the participants of the courses we experience in
small steps and always new what it can mean to live an all-embracing
life: to be truly a human being in harmony with the environment.
Zen past
Raised within the Catholic Church, mysticism was not strange to her. When she found Zen, she felt at home at once. Her first encounter with Zen was through Count Dürkheim and H. Graubner. This encounter gave her life a new direction. She learned to live from her center, the
Hara.
Prabhasa Dharma, Zenji guided her further on the Zen way.
Zen present
At Moelmeshof Jokai daily offers morning and evening Zazen. She also leads Zen introductions and sesshins together with Hogo Dienske from Amsterdam. Guests can always stay for longer or shorter periods at Moelmeshof to practise, live and work with the residents.
