The Dharma House
History
The Dharma House is the center of practice of the International Zen Institute of Florida. It is an oasis of peace in the urban district around Miami. The Dharma House offers a program that is tailor made for people who seriously want to practise Zazen and at the same time want to live and work in society.

You can find the Dharma House at the south side of Coconut Grove. This is one of the older parts of Miami near Biscayne Bay. The sangha is international with students from more than a dozen different countries, many from South America.

Program
The program of the Dharma House consist of daily meditation, often two times a day. Furthermore there are weekend retreats every month and several 5 or 7 day retreats throughout the year. A beginners course of four weekly meetings starts every month. The Dharma House also offers special sittings at full moon and new moon.
Every month there are informal sangha meetings with a video or reading, lunch etcetera.

Soan Poor is Zen teacher at the Dharma House. Every year Jiun Hogen, Roshi leads a sesshin in Miami.
